2006: 19th Annual LTC State Ombudsman National Training: Good Care: It's Not Magic

The 19th Annual LTC State Ombudsman National Training Conference was held April 22-25, 2006 in Salem, MA. State Ombudsmen from a record 43 states joined together to network, share best practices, and dialogue with national experts on issues related to long-term care and ombudsman practice.

2005: 18th Annual LTC State Ombudsman National Training: Quality Sooner Than Later

The 18th Annual LTC State Ombudsman National Training Conference was held April 9-12, 2005 in Oklahoma City, OK. State Ombudsmen from 30 states joined together to network, share best practices, and listen to national experts speak on issues related to long term care and ombudsman practice.

• Carroll Estes Presentation - findings from research on effectiveness in local LTCOPs in two states. Carroll Estes, Ph.D. is Professor of Sociology at the University of California, SF, and the founder and former director of the UCSF Institute for Health and Aging, School of Nursing. She is well known for her research on the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and currently is studying local ombudsman program effectiveness.
