The Ombudsman Resource Center attempts to distribute timely and relevant information to state and local long-term care ombudsmen. This is accomplished in a variety of ways and is supported by the US Administration on Aging as part of the Center's on-going support to ombudsmen.

Watch this page for the latest information pertaining to Ombudsmen and their advocacy work to improve the quality of life and quality of care on behalf of long term care residents. Click here for news-breaking stories about Ombudsmen and the issues they face.

NORC Training Conference Calls

Gazettes
Gazettes are Email bulletins containing timely information about ombudsman program development, State and Federal Legislation, and "DC Doins." They are compiled by Robyn Grant, ORC Consultant, and distributed to state ombudsmen regularly via email.  Now available to the public on this site.

NCCNHR mails its Technical Assistance Series on long term care issues, including Nursing Homes and Assisted living to State Ombudsmen and Advocacy Groups. Others can subscribe to the TA Series on the NCCNHR web site.
